Indistinct Chatter

So how does i come to pass,
Still tip-toeing over broken glass
Screaming into the digital abyss
Looking for echoes,
of a virtual kiss.

Lost in the bubble, we are wonderfully blue
Wandering a landscape with nothing but you
Lets move from the dervish, lets amble away,
We`ll sit by the waves, get breathless then spray-

Truth from our mouths, the only ones wise
We are victims of magic and victims of lies
But aloof in our comfort, some indistinct chatter
Blackens our vision and poisons what matters

We`re watching the watchers, they mirror the box
Spitting and sneering, delivering knocks
Standing in circles and pointing out flaws
Convulsing in union, they dig in the claws

The layers and layers of voyeurs expand
Into the void and out of our hands
No performers on stage, we all take some part
The illusion of anarchy, of freedom, of heart.

Let`s fall away now, adrift from the rancour
Let`s wash out to sea, let`s not drop the anchor
We have no horizon and nothing else matters
As long as we have our own indistinct chatter
