AquaMarine
I can only dream awake
of shadows on the cave wall
of shapes and ladders and falling skies
of queens and kings and crying eyes
There are no flowing robes of wisdom
no infinite blue or bright whites,
but here I am; as all of you,
aquamarine; a million blinking lights
There are no more wolves at my door,
Nor any personas to uphold
No junk mail to recycle
Since I breached the soft threshold
Alighting from where we are borne
A drop in the cosmic ocean
I am not gone, but neither there;
dark wine water in perpetual motion
I was once awash in your ether
chasing ever decreasing circles;
cursed to pine for a vague nostalgia
fading memories of a psychic circus
But don`t look back into oblivion
Because the sea will never rise,
instead look up, look forward,
You`ll see just smiling eyes
Becoming the mirror, however broken
I am your little spark, of eternal knowing
These egos of ours are monstrous things
my strangled heart, with seeds we sow
but just keep smiling in the dark
We`re closer than you know.
